Advertise your rescue or rehoming centre

Rescues and registered charities can list animals for adoption, with adoption fees rather than sale prices, and a centre page that explains your process.

    Quick answer

Where can a rescue centre advertise animals for adoption?

Rescue centres and registered charities on PetTrader list animals for adoption rather than for sale — the word adoption and adoption fees are reserved for verified rescues, so adopters can tell the difference at a glance. A directory subscription is £10 a month or £100 a year, and the first 200 trade members to join get their first year completely free.

How it works for rescues & charities

    Adoption wording is protected

Only verified rescues and charities can use adoption and adoption fee on PetTrader. Everyone else has to say price or free. It stops backyard sellers dressing up a sale as a rehoming, and it means an adopter arriving on your listing knows what they are looking at.

Explain your process before the enquiry

Home checks, adoption fees, what is included, which animals you will not rehome to families with young children — putting all of that on your centre page cuts the number of unsuitable enquiries you have to answer.

    What your profile page shows

Your business gets its own page: description, photos, the pet types and areas you cover, opening hours, phone, website, prices if you want to publish them, and any licences or registrations you hold. It is indexed by Google in its own right, so people searching for your service in your town can find it directly.

How long it takes to get listed

Joining, filling in your contact details and your business details takes around ten minutes on a phone. There is nothing to install and no sales call — you fill the form, claim your free first year and your page is live.

    Common questions

Do we have to be a registered charity?+

No, but adoption wording and adoption fees are only unlocked for rescues and charities we have verified. Unverified accounts list under price or free like any other seller.

Is there a limit on how many animals we can list?+

Rescues list the animals currently needing homes; if you routinely carry a large number, tell us at sign-up and we will set the allowance to match.

Do I have to pay anything to join right now?+

No. The first 200 breeders, pet shops, veterinary practices and pet service businesses to join get a completely free first year. You add a card so the subscription continues afterwards, but nothing is taken during those 12 months and you can cancel before renewal.

    Can I cancel?+

Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Your listing stays live until the end of the period you have paid for (or the end of your free year), and you are not charged again.

Will my business page show up on Google?+

Your page has its own web address and is submitted in our sitemap, so it can be found in search on its own — as well as through our directory pages for your service and your area.
