Quick answer
PetTrader is a UK-only pet classifieds site built as a low-cost, high-trust place for breeders, keepers and private sellers to advertise. Typical UK pet classified sites charge roughly £25 to £60 for a litter advert and often place buyer messaging behind a paid membership. PetTrader's standard rates are £9.99 for a single dog advert and £20.00 for a whole litter, £6.99 and £12.00 for cats, and £4.99 and £10.00 for smaller animals and birds — and every advert is free during the UK launch. Buyers message sellers directly at no cost, and every advertiser passes a photo ID and live selfie check before publishing.

Nobody has to buy a membership to ask whether your litter is still available, so you hear from far more genuine buyers.
Every advertiser passes a photo ID and live selfie check. Buyers know your advert is a real UK person, not an offshore scam.
The advert builder prompts for minimum age, microchip details, licence numbers and health records, and collection in person only.

Yes. Any registered, email-confirmed buyer can message you directly for free. PetTrader never puts seller contact behind a buyer membership, so you receive every genuine enquiry.
Yes. Every advertiser uploads a photo ID and takes a live selfie before their first advert goes live. Identity documents issued outside the UK also need a recent proof of address. It takes a couple of minutes and is what keeps scam adverts off the site.
Adverts run for 60 days and you can mark a pet as sold or reserved at any time. Litter adverts give every pet its own page and photos, with the parents' details copied across automatically.
Yes, provided you follow the rules. Puppies and kittens must be at least eight weeks old, sold from the place they were born with the mother present, microchipped where required, and you need a council licence if you breed three or more litters a year. The advert builder prompts for each of these as you go.
No. Private owners rehoming one pet, licensed breeders, rescues, pet shops and veterinary practices can all advertise. Private sellers get their first advert free permanently, and discounted rates apply to rehoming and rescue adverts.
