Advertise your dog training or behaviour business

Puppy classes, one-to-one training, gundog work or clinical behaviour — your practice gets a page that explains your methods and qualifications properly.

    Quick answer

Where can I advertise dog training classes?

A directory subscription on PetTrader is £10 a month or £100 a year and gives your training or behaviour practice its own page covering methods, qualifications, class times, prices and the areas you cover, plus a place on the trainer and behaviourist pages for your town. No council licence is needed to advertise training. The first 200 trade members join free for a year.

How it works for trainers & behaviourists

    Qualifications matter more here

Dog training is unregulated in the UK, so owners lean heavily on memberships and accreditations when choosing. Your page has proper fields for them — ABTC, APDT, IMDT, KCAI and the rest — rather than leaving you to bury them in a description.

Reach owners at the moment they need you

People come to PetTrader when they are buying a puppy, which is exactly when they start looking for classes. The puppy and breed pages for your area carry links through to local trainers.

    What your profile page shows

Your business gets its own page: description, photos, the pet types and areas you cover, opening hours, phone, website, prices if you want to publish them, and any licences or registrations you hold. It is indexed by Google in its own right, so people searching for your service in your town can find it directly.

How long it takes to get listed

Joining, filling in your contact details and your business details takes around ten minutes on a phone. There is nothing to install and no sales call — you fill the form, claim your free first year and your page is live.

    Common questions

Do I need a licence to advertise training?+

No. Training and behaviour work are not licensable activities in the UK.

Can I list classes and one-to-one work separately?+

Yes — your page can carry a price list with as many service lines as you need, and you can add the behaviourist category as well as training.

Do I have to pay anything to join right now?+

No. The first 200 breeders, pet shops, veterinary practices and pet service businesses to join get a completely free first year. You add a card so the subscription continues afterwards, but nothing is taken during those 12 months and you can cancel before renewal.

    Can I cancel?+

Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Your listing stays live until the end of the period you have paid for (or the end of your free year), and you are not charged again.

Will my business page show up on Google?+

Your page has its own web address and is submitted in our sitemap, so it can be found in search on its own — as well as through our directory pages for your service and your area.
