Your licence number goes on the advert
Anyone breeding and selling three or more litters of dogs in a 12-month period, or breeding as a business, needs a licence from their local council under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018, and that licence number must appear in the advert. PetTrader has a dedicated field for it, so it shows properly on every advert and on your breeder page rather than being buried in a description.
Litters are one advert, not eight
A litter package covers the whole litter: each puppy or kitten gets its own photos, sex and price, but you write the parents, health testing and history once. Litters can also be advertised free of charge where you are rehoming rather than selling.
Every seller here is identity checked
Before any pet advert goes live the seller passes a photo ID check matched against a live selfie. It takes a couple of minutes once, and it is the reason buyers here behave differently to buyers on free classified sites — they arrive expecting a real, traceable business rather than an anonymous phone number.
What your profile page shows
Your business gets its own page: description, photos, the pet types and areas you cover, opening hours, phone, website, prices if you want to publish them, and any licences or registrations you hold. It is indexed by Google in its own right, so people searching for your service in your town can find it directly.
How long it takes to get listed
Joining, filling in your contact details and your business details takes around ten minutes on a phone. There is nothing to install and no sales call — you fill the form, claim your free first year and your page is live.
